Investors — How to Join: Submit Investor Profile
There is a two-step process for Investors to join the network. Please complete both of the following:
- Download the Investor Suitability Questionnaire (PDF, 120KB) and return it via US Mail or shipping company, then
- Fill out, as applicable to your interests, the Investor Profile of preferred start-up company investments and/or the Investor Profile of preferred Real Estate investments. Note: Heartland Angels will post these profile forms to the Web site in mid-March. Until then, please contact us directly for more information.
To assist the investment process it is important that the investor characterize his/her knowledge, experience and interest in investing. The profile that we have developed helps us to determine if the companies that present themselves to us are appropriate for our investor network. Completing this profile will help us do that.
The profile looks at the following issues that we believe are critical in making that assessment. They are:
- Investment Preferences, Parameters and Strategies
- Industries
- Markets
- Technologies
- Geographic Regions
- Desired Rate of Return
- Preferred State of Development of an Company and the Innovation
- Personal Due Diligence Experience
- Valuation Experience
- Interest in Follow-on or Future Rounds of Investing
- Expectation Time Line for a Liquidity Event
