Reasons For Rejecting Proposed Investments

  1. No match with interest profiles of investors or unavailability of an investor sponsor.
  2. Expectations of the company's Management of a working relationship with investors not compatible with investors expectations.
  3. Company's growth outcomes inconsistent with investor expectations
  4. Valuation of company not consistent with investors expectations or experience.
  5. Geographical distance from investors too great
  6. Entrepreneur's proposal was inadequately developed to make an adequate assessment.
  7. Lack of timely availability of needed information to make an assessment of project's likelihood of success.
  8. Presence of too many "Red Flags." Examples of Red Flags include, but are not limited to:
  • Large salaries
  • Back salaries
  • Old loan obligations
  • New loan obligations
  • Other debts
  • Buyout of other early-stage investors or its founders
  • Special relationships with the company and "inside" and/or outside individuals or companies.
